Obituary of Jacqueline P. Kelly

Kelly, Jacqueline P, Seward, died September 25, 2018 at Good Samaritan Palliative Care. She was born in Twin Rocks, the daughter of late Leo Hite and late Virginia “Gaye” Ford. Preceded in death by sister Barbie and brother James. Survived by sisters Virginia Kelly, Peggy Hildebrand, and Judi Wieczorek. She would also include her brother-in-law, David Hildebrand. He was very special to her, and she loved him like a brother. She is also survived by one daughter, Terri Kelly Terndrup, married to Brian Terndrup, Johnstown, PA and these grandchildren: Kelly Taylor, Seth Terndrup, and Megan Terndrup, and four great-grandchildren: Joey Taylor, James Terndrup, Henry Terndrup, and Noah Taylor. She also had many nieces and nephews whom she adored! Jackie retired as head cashier from Riverside Market in Seward where she was always dressed impeccably in her white uniform and was affectionately called the “white tornado” by the employees. She was very proud of her work but even more proud of her grandchildren who meant the world to her. Her fellow employees always knew when “the kids” were coming to stay because of the grocery cart full of goodies. She continued this tradition when her great-grandsons came to Johnstown, loading up her car and driving to visit with all kinds of snacks.  Yes, she was very independent and still drove her car! Jackie loved music and attending the festivals in the summer, and with the help of her sister, Judi, she managed to attend many events. She was a beloved mother, sister, aunt, Nana, and GrandNan, and she will be missed. There will be a private interment at her request. In lieu of flowers donations in Jackie’s memory may be made to a local animal shelter of your choice.
