Obituary of Donald F. Hysong II

Hysong, Donald F. II, born in Johnstown and residing in Frackville passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at his home in Frackville.  During Don’s childhood he was active in the Boy Scouts of America, he also loved rock music, as a musician he played keyboard and clarinet, Don enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  He graduated from Hollidaysburg Area High School in 1972 and then attended Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  He worked on the railroad as a conductor – first Conrail which later became Norfolk Southern. 

Survived by parents Donald F. and Elizabeth (Larison) Hysong, New Florence; Wife of almost 39 years Christine (Palina); two children Zachary, Frackville and Angela, Orwigsburg.  Also survived by sister Pam Hysong, New Florence; brothers-in-law Tony and Charlie.  Don and Tina both came from large and loving families, so there are many nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Friends will be received from 9AM to time of service at 11 AM Monday at Oravitz Funeral Home, 40 North Jardin Street, Shenandoah. 

Friends will be received from 9 AM till time of service at 11 AM Wednesday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florence.  Rev. Nancy L. Threadgill officiating.  Interment Bethel Cemetery.
