Obituary of James Wesley Donahue

James Wesley Donahue, 93, Robinson, passed away March 28, 2015 at home. Born March 9, 1922 in Robinson, the son of the late William and Cecilia Isabel (Moyer) Donahue. Also preceded in death by brother Harry Donahue; sister Bernadine Miller; brother-in-laws Dean Miller, William Jones and Wilbur Albright. Survived by wife Tieng Bui Donahue; step-children Vu; Mac-Chi (Nghia), Mac-Phuong (Thanh), Anh-Thu; Anh-Huy (Roma), Anh-Duy (Chi), Anh-Dung (Leslie); 8 step-grandchildren; sisters Roberta (Robert) Botteicher; Veleria Jean Jones and Coletta Albright and brother Regis (Janet) Donahue. Graduate of Bolivar High School, class of 1940. U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII and Korean, having served in the submarine service. Life long member and former chief of Bolivar Vol. Fire Co. also member of Robinson VFW Post 9310 and Bolivar American Legion Post 128. 4th Degree of Knights of Columbus, Blairsville. Avid outdoors man who especially enjoyed hunting and trapping. Jim contributed to and served many groups and charities. He was always there to listen and helped numerous people in need. After his marriage he became a world traveler. He helped in the construction of the former St. Mary's Catholic church in Bolivar where he was a member and a member of Holy Name Society he also formely was a member of Holy Family Cahtolic Church and a member of Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church. The family will be receiving friends 2-8 PM Tuesday at the Former St. Mary's Catholic Church now K&K Flowers, 736 Lincoln St., Bolivar. Mass of Christian burial will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday, at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 250 First Street, Coral, (please meet at the church) with Rev. Ron Cyktor officiating. Internment St. Mary's Cemetery.
