Obituary of Arnold Adam Foust

Foust, Arnold Adam "Arnie", 85, Bolivar, departed this earth July 12, 2015 surrounded by his family. Born September 10, 1929 in Robinson the son of late Wilbert and Matilda "Tilly" (McLarren) Foust. Also preceded in death by brothers Emerson, Roe, Leslie and Earl Foust and sister Doris Foust. Survived by loving wife of 63 years Joan "Jobie" (Short) Foust; sons Arnold Bradley "Brad" and wife Connie, Fabian and wife Carol, Nathan Foust and wife Linda, all of Bolivar; nine grandchildren, Erik Foust, Jason Foust, Benjamin Foust, Adam Foust, Mandi Foust, Yvette Saxton, Margo Pringle, Jesi Foust and Tyler Foust 19 great-grandchildren; brother Paul Foust, Dilltown; sisters Eldean Smith, Bolivar; Cathy (Ronald) Kinard, Blairsville; and many nieces and nephews. Arnold was a U.S. Army veteran of Korean War where he served as a sergeant and was a Purple Heart Recipient. A union mason for over 40 years who quit school and started working for the rail road at 14, former owner of the Ligonier Bottling Works, Miller's Garage of Bolivar, always ran a "Back Hoe" or a saw mill along with various other jobs. He was a 60 year member of the American Legion Post 128, Bolivar and member of Robinson V.F.W. Post 9310 and National Purple Heart Hall of Honor recipient. Also an avid Pittsburgh Pirate and Steeler fan. Friends received from 6-8 pm Tuesday and 4-8 pm Wednesday at the Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florence, where serve will be held 11 am Thursday, Ray Lee officiating. Internment Germany Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flower's memorial donations in Arnold's name may be made to either the Bolivar Legion Post 128 or Robinson V.F.W. Post 9310.
