Obituary of Murdick C. Bracken

Bracken, Murdick "Turk", 98. Armagh, passed away November 6 2015 at home. Born June 7, 1917 in Wehrum the son of the late Elmer and Rhea (Beard) Bracken. Also preceded in death by wife of 71 years Helen (Stewart) Bracken. Brothers Ira, Wayne and Harry Bracken. Survived by daughter Donna Semetkoskey and husband Frank, Indiana; grandchildren Charles Semetkoskey, New Florence; Toni Eaton, Ernest; Frank "Ted" Semetkoskey, Jr. and wife Brenda, Apollo; Tamara Ohler and husband Charles, Davidsville; Lori Pease and husband Robert, Home; Joseph Semetkoskey and wife Karen, Indiana; great-grandchildren Melody Semetkoskey; Tarah, Katie and Jacob Eaton; Tyson Semetkoskey, Josie Ohler, Bobbi Pease, Joey and Allison Semetkoskey; sisters-in-law Grace Gavin, Davidsville; Kathryn Stewart, Dilltown; special nephew Gene "Sonny" Stewart, California. Turk was a member Bethel United Presbyterian Church, ACACIA Lodge #355 F&AM, Blairsville, Operating Engineer's Local 66, Dilltown Sportsman Club, Clyde Saddle Club and life-time member of Clyde Vol. Fire Co. Turk was well know for ridding his Horse in numerous parades, he had a part in building much of the infrastructure in the area during his working career and was well known in the community. Friends received 6-8 PM Monday and 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday at Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St., Armagh where service will be held 11 am Wednesday. Pastor James Sunseri Officiating. Internment Armagh Cemetery. Masonic service 7:30 PM Tuesday. Memorial donations may be made to VNA/Hospice 850 Hospital Rd, Suite #3000, Indiana, PA 15701.
