Simon, Marion Rose, 78, Charles, passed away May 31, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center surrounded by her family. Born April 1, 1938 in Johnstown the daughter of late Forrest Bracken and Alma Jean (Colbert) Malec. Also preceded in death by grandchildren Stephanie and Stephen Bretz; brother Russell Bracken and sister Barbara Bracken. Survived by loving husband of 62 years William "Dina" Simon; loving children Debra Gindlesperger and husband Marvin, Davidsville; Diana Hipp and husband Raymond, Johnstown; William Simon and wife Connie, Cramer; grandchildren Nikki (Mike) Simpson, Steven (Autumn) Gindlesperger, Jason (Angela) Bretz, Justin (Vicki) Gindlesperger, Ralph (Kirsten) Bretz; step-grandchildren Jennifer Cochran, Maria Glance, Nicole (Joseph) Messina; great-grandchildren Caiden, Davis, Kaitlyn, Addison, Sierra, Owen, Miles; step-great-grandchildren Dayton, Alexis, Noah; brother Gail Bracken, Bedford; and her four feline companions Mama Kitty, Buddy, Rosie and Itty Bitty. Marion cherished her family. She was a long time employee of United School District where she was known as "Lunch Lady". Enjoyed crocheting, spending time with her family and taking care of the many stray cats of Charles. Friends will be received 2-8 PM Friday at the Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St., Armagh. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 AM Saturday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 425 Bridge St, Seward. Rev. Robert Washko celebrant. Internment Armagh Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to Four Footed Friends, 220 Beck Rd., Indiana, PA 15701. It was Marion's life mission to provide love and care for abandoned and neglected animals – especially her stay cats. In honor of Marion please consider adopting a shelter pet.
