Obituary of Shirley J. Killen

Killen, Shirley J., 84, Armagh went home to be with the Lord December 18, 2016 at home. Born January 31, 1932 in Johnstown, the daughter of the late Stephen and Clara (Komjalby) Horvath. Also, preceded in death by brother Joseph, Stephen and Frank Horvath. Survived by husband of 60 years Richard Neil Killen; daughter Nancy Killen Bryant and husband Rick, Washington, PA; grandchildren Patrick, Meredith and Stephen Bryant. Several nieces, nephews and extended family. Member of Grace United Methodist Church, Indiana and associate member of Armagh United Methodist Church where she faithfully organized the newsletter for 20 years, gathered the list of college student addresses and greeters for Sunday morning, Shirley was also a member of the Red Hats. She enjoyed going to Polka and Square dances and traveling to Florida for the winter. Friends received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday at Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St., Armagh, service will be held 11 AM Wednesday at Armagh United Methodist Church, 570 W. Philadelphia St., Armagh, PA 15920. Rev. James Miller officiating. Interment Grandview Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be to Armagh United Methodist Church or charity of one's choice.
