Obituary of Charles W. Heming

Heming, Charles W., 83, New Florence, joined his love in heaven on November 19, 2017, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born November 27, 1933 in W. Wheatfield Twp., the son of the late John and Hattie (Makin) Heming. Also preceded in death by wife Lucille M. (Galbraith) Shearman Heming who passed in June of 2015. Brother Harlen Heming. Survived by children John Shearman and wife Cindy (Gamble), New Florence; Bill Shearman and wife Joan (Kunko), Carrolltown; Carol Henderson and husband Randy, New Florence; grandchildren Joshua Shearman and wife Kristy, Derry; Alicia Hastings and husband Greg, New Florence; Michael Shearman and wife Heather, Johnstown; Sloane Shearman, Arlington, VA; Hattie Henderson, New Florence Gracie Henderson, New Florence; great-grandsons Emmett and Elliott Shearman; breakfast buddy Merle Brown; sister Nancy Jones, Downingtown; brother Norman Heming, Lancaster. Charlie retired from Latrobe Steel where he worked as an electrician. He was a hard worker and when he was not at working in the steel mill you could find him operating his own excavating business, which he had done since 1961, he did numerous foundations for many local homes in the area. He loved farming and over the years he gave rides to many children and then their children on his backhoe. Friends received 2-8 Tuesday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florence; where service will be held 11AM Wednesday. Rev. Anthony Catullo officiating. Military rites by local veterans organization.
