Obituary of Margaret Kathryn Uadiski

Margaret Kathyrn (Croyle) Uadiski, 82, Seward, passed away March 3, 2025, at home surrounded by her loving family.  Born October 2, 1942, in Johnstown, the daughter of the late Walter Grey, Jr. and Bessie (Powell) Croyle.

Marge married the “in her words” love of her life Michael on December 7, 1960, sharing 39 years together before his death in June 1999.  They were high school sweethearts hanging out together at Dairy Acres as teenagers.   She would tell stories of all the fun they had all while she was wearing her “poodle skirt”.  Marge graduated from United High School.  After getting married and starting a family, she worked at the Shoe Factory in Johnstown, and then becoming the primary caregiver to her sister Arleen and her parents Grey and Bess.  Mike and Marge liked to go to the Seward VFW, getting dressed up on New Year’s Eve to celebrate, going to casinos, especially Atlantic City with Mike and Helen, playing Bingo with friends, scratching lottery tickets, shopping at Boscov’s and JC Penney’s, you always knew you were getting new socks and dish towels whether you need them or not.  After Micheal’s passing and being a young widow, she received a call from the Hill family asking her to care for their parents Millie and Joe.  She was hesitant, but did take the job, which became not a job, but a joy to spend time with the Hills, making their meals, and caring for them until they passed.  Until her passing she was still close to the Hill sisters Helen and Shirley, Marge was the “third sister”.  She loved to cook for people, making special meals for her close friends and family, especially large Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas meals for which she always “Cooked too much food”.  Marge also enjoyed canning, reading the Bible and devotion books.  To her great-grandchildren she was known as “Grandma Bingo”.  Marge volunteered weekly at St. Vincent DePaul in Seward where she enjoyed working with her dear friends there.

Survived by children Lisa (Whitey) Stewart, Armagh; Tina Boring, Seward; Michael (Cheryl) Uadiski, Seward.  Grandchildren Jennifer (Scott) McCully, Jamie (Roque) Stewart, Jeff Boring, Todd (Amy) Boring, Arleena (Jeff) Payne, Daila, Randy, Brenda, Christy.  Great-grandchildren Rylee, Delaynee, Jordynn, Jaycee, Will “Champ”, Caden, Allison, Bradley, Gavin, Alexis, Tailei, and Jadelyn.  Great-great-grandchildren Easton and Harlyn.  Brothers Joe (Roxann), Mike, and sister Charlotte, and numerous nieces and nephews.  Also, special friends Carole, who she loved dearly, Helen, Shirley, Eva, Hazel, and Pastor Jim Sunseri.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by husband Michael, sisters Arlene and Von, brother Dave, son-in-law Jeff and Bill, brothers-in-law Roy Dickert, and Curt Rethi sisters-in-law Bert and Connie Croyle, grandson-in-law Rob Robertson.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the 10th floor staff at Memorial Medical Center, especially nurses Lauren and Nick, Dr. Hussein, and Dr. Pringle along with 365 Hospice.

There will be no public viewing or visitation.  A celebration of life will be held later.  Future interment Armagh Cemetery.  Arrangements in care of Stuart Funeral Home, Armagh.

She was a caring and much-loved person and will be missed by all who knew her.
