Obituary of Andrew J Pizarchik

Pizarchik, Andrew “Andy” J., Jr. 78, Armagh passed away April 2, 2025, at Select Specialty Hospital, Johnstown. Born August 18, 1946, in Armagh, the son of the late Andrew and Anna (Anderson) Pizarchik.

 

Prior to his passing, he was surrounded by his family and friends. In the end he was with the ‘Big Three’ (Brent, Kris & Lisa). He served in Vietnam as a Corman on the USS Repose from 1966 to 1971. He earned his college degree from San Diego State after returning from Vietnam. He returned to Western Pennsylvania in 1980 to take care of his ailing father and has remained here since. He ended his career at Chestnut Ridge golf course in Blairsville, Pennsylvania. He was known as ‘Junior’ in his younger days and was ‘Uncle Andy’ to his nieces and nephews and many others. He embraced life to the fullest and impacted everyone he encountered with his kindness, positivity, and love.

 

Survived by sisters, Carol Layton, Latrobe; Rosemary Fry, New Florence, nephew, Brent Layton and Michele, Latrobe. Nieces, Kris Fierst and Mark, Heber City, Utah and Lisa Hoffman and Matthew, Vienna, Virginia.  He was Uncle Andy to Kayla Layton, Andrew “Drew” Layton, Hannah Fierst-Strid and Logan; Kasey Fierst; Sydney Hoffman, Patrick Hoffman, and Levi Strid. Also, to Ashley Morrow, Keeley Morgan, McKenzie Morrow, Brooklyn Boring, Dominic Morrow and many others.

 

Friends from 3 o’clock to 7 o’clock Friday, April 4th at Richard C Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St., Armagh.
