Obituary of Orville J. Saunders

Orville J Saunders "Big O", 82, New Florence, passed away peacefully the morning of June 28, 2025, at home, where he wanted to be with his family.

Born January 24,1943 the son of the late Orville B and Margaret "Peg" (Peyer) Saunders in Pittsburgh, PA. He is also proceeded in death by his in-laws Ernest and Roma June Morgan and infant great- granddaughter Millie Jean Saunders.

Orville was in the National Guard for 6 yrs, a contracted laborer for multiple companies for most of his life, volunteered his time at multiple fire departments and ended his employment time driving school vans for TCT in 2023.

Orville enjoyed going to the casinos and to the beach, cutting grass (and occasionally rolled the lawn mower), enjoying an occasional Budweiser, and going on quad rides with Deb to look for wildlife and pick berries.

Orville is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Deborah A (Morgan) Saunders and their son, Orville (wife Susanna) Saunders, grandchildren Zachary (wife Jenna) Saunders and Katelyn Saunders and step- grandchildren Scott Fetzer, Jr and Christopher Fetzer and great- grandchildren.

As per Orville's wishes, there will be no viewing or service. The family will hold a private scattering of the ashes.

A special thanks to the nurses and aides who have assisted and supported Orville over the last 2 yrs.
