Obituary of Harold Irvin Penrose

Penrose, Harold Irvin, 78, Brush Valley, passed away March 23, 2016 at Indiana Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 29, 1937 in Robinson, the son of the late Otis J. and Edith M. (Layman) Penrose. Also preceded in death by daughter Tammy Jo Penrose. He is survived by loving wife of 58 years Nora J. (Roby) Penrose, children H. Daniel Penrose, OH; Sharon Decker and husband Scott. Sandra Zamba and husband Paul both of Brush Valley. Grandchildren Daniel Penrose and wife Nicole, Irwin; Kenneth J. Penrose, Alexa Zamba and Tara Zamba, all of Brush Valley; Megan Penrose, OH. Great-grandchildren Morgan Penrose, Kenneth Penrose, Jr., Isabella Penrose, and Aurora Penrose. Sisters Karen Buckles, Bolivar; Delores Thompson and husband Kerry, New Florence; Beverly LaMantia and husband Joel, Brush Valley; Louanne Naylor and husband Don, New Florence. Special sister-in-law and brother-in-law Carol and Danny Sacco, Homer City. Harold was a retired steelworker. Harold loved being outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Harold enjoyed gunsmithing, reading, engineering, walking with his dogs, telling stories and jokes, and eating. Above all, Harold loved being with his family. He will be remembered for his kindness, love, generosity, selflessness, and most of all, his sense of humor. Harold was a friend to all who were blessed to know him and he will be forever missed. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am Monday at Our Lady of the Assumption, 250 First St., Coral with Rev. Ron Cyktor officiating. Family assisted by Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, Armagh.
