Obituary of Carol Ann Johnson
Carol Ann (Miller) Johnson, 69, Armagh, passed away the evening of February 12, 2019 after a sustained battle with cancer.
Carol was born on August 9, 1949 in Johnstown, the daughter of Mark Miller, Sr. and Elsie (Schein) Miller. She graduated from Johnstown High School in 1967, attended Clarion University of Pennsylvania, and ultimately obtained a masters degree in Elementary Education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Carol taught 4th grade mathematics at United School District.
Proceeded in death by mother, Elsie. Survived by husband of 49 years, Bruce; sons Kirk of Odenton, Maryland, Ross (Crystal) of Indiana, father Mark, sister Judy Majcher (David), and brothers Mark and Brian Miller. And extended network of family and dear friends, who were always there in times of joy and times of struggle.
Carol loved bringing family together for holiday meals and celebrations, annual trips to the beach with friends, playing Mahjong with the game group, bobbin lace, puzzles, making Christmas candy, and road trips traveling cross-country with Bruce.
The family wishes to extend gratitude to all those who supported and cared for Carol during her long battle with cancer. Special thanks to Max for “Maxine Mondays”, cousin Robin, and the game group.
Carol will be sadly missed by all who knew her. She was a great friend, wife, and mother.
