Obituary of Ronald C. Chernisky

Ronald C. Chernisky, 86, New Florence passed away March 27, 2020 at home surrounded by his family. Born January 17, 1934 in Barnesboro the son of late Joseph and Louise (Oliver) Chernisky. Also preceded in death by siblings Catherine Rodkey, William Rodkey, Frank Chernisky, Joseph Chernisky, and Delores Keith. Survived by wife of 54 years Violet (Bartlebaugh) Chernisky. Daughter Sonya Quick and husband Richard, New Florence. Grandsons Nolan Knarr and wife Heather, Indiana, PA; Ryan Cunningham and wife Meghan, Pittsburgh. Great-Grandchildren Hannah Knarr, Joseph Hunter and one soon to be born great-granddaughter. Brothers George Chernisky, Tennessee; David Chernisky, Ohio; John Chernisky, Washington, PA; Carl Chernisky, Columbia, MD. Ron enjoyed hunting and playing the lottery. He was former owner/operator of the New Florence Laundromat and Dry Cleaners. Ron was an Army veteran of the Korean War. At this time due to current public health concerns there will be no public visitation or service. The family assisted by Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home. Interment Thompson Cemetery.
