Obituary of Lynn S. Ritchey

Lynn S. Ritchey, 68, Seward passed away peacefully May 11, 2021.  Born May 3, 1953 in Johnstown the son of late Steward Ritchey and Margaret (Bartosh) Ritchey.  He grew up in Portage, worked for the railroad, F.M. Sheesley, owned his own trucking business and was a partner of C & T Pizza, and proud to be an Army Veteran.

Survived by his wife of 30 years Becky Ritchey, sister Peggy (Bob) Walker; children Chiloh Kalemba and husband Greg, and their children Joel Kalemba (and wife Samantha),  and Daelyn Kalemba; Shanna Norton and husband Joe, and their son Orion; Jeremy Ritchey and his children Ryder, Raelyne and Serenity; Kari Muir and husband Ray, and their children Astrid and Darcy; Clarissa Burbank and husband Wayne, and their children Landon and Logan; Travis Lovejoy and wife Jessica, and their children Kayleigh, Bella, and Blayne; numerous nieces and nephews of whom he held very dear to him and his fur baby Pee Wee who was his napping buddy.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by brothers Mark and Stew, sisters Rose and Susan, grandson Colby Allen Kalemba.

He loved playing his music with the boys at camp.  He could build or fix anything no matter what it was made out of wood or cement.  He could tell a joke and always put a smile on everybody’s face no matter how you felt, he loved to do that.  People would come in the Pizza shop just to hear his jokes.  He also loved his gardening and his grandchildren.  A special thank you to sister-in-law Sandy Weimer for all the support and doctor visits where she helped.  He will be sadly missed by family and friends alike.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Arrangements in care of Richard C.
