Obituary of Mary T. Verba

Mary Verba, 95, Armagh passed away July 29, 2021, at Indiana Regional Medical Center.  Born July 15, 1926, in Frostburg the daughter of late Antonio and Mary Kathryn (Adams) Ananea.  Also preceded in death by husband Frank J. Verba, brothers Ben, Frank, Jess, Philip, Anthony, Joseph, and Ross Ananea; sisters Anna Louise Ananea, Carmela Bloom, and Rose Clark; infant brother Johnny Ananea.

Survived by children Frank A. Verba and wife Diana, Roseville, CA; John Verba and wife Barbara, Columbia, MD; grandchildren Julia Haigh and husband Kevin, Marietta; Kristen Robertson and husband Adrian, Riverview, FL; Danielle Verba and Gary Baird, Bolivar; Alysha Verba and George Krinock, Latrobe; Anthony Verba, Roseville, CA;  Tim Townsend and wife Abby, Land O’ Lakes, FL;  Jana Townsend, Largo, FL; Jessica Verba, New Ipswich, NH; Katharine Verba and husband Alex Malin, New Ipswich, NH; Bennett Verba, Columbia, MD; great-grandchildren Jaden Saxton, Karleigh, Conner, Landen, Kristina and Macie Krinock, Adrian, Jr., Jaylen and Jordyn Robertson, Landon Townsend; great-great-grandchildren Nevaeh Krinock.

Mary was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Seward where she was active in Rosary Altar Society, Choir and as a CCD teacher.  She also helped with bingo and brunches at the parish hall.  Also belonged to Armagh Senior Citizens, Armagh Lions Club, and Armagh & E Wheatfield Vol Fire Co Ladies Aux where she helped served dinners and Friday night pizza.  Mary was a Cub Scout Den Leader volunteered at numerous school functions.  She was a retired cook at United H.S.

Friends received 4-6 pm Sunday, 2-4 and 6-8 pm Monday at Richard C Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St, Armagh. And 8:30 till time of Mass of Christian Burial 9:30 am Tuesday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 425 Bridge St, Seward.  Interment Armagh Cemetery.  Memorial donations in Mary’s name may be made to either Holy Family Catholic Church, 425 Bridge St, Seward or Armagh E.
