Obituary of Curtis J. Rethi

Curtis Rethi, 88, New Florence, passed away August 24, 2023, at Memorial Medical Center after a brief illness.  Born May 24, 1935, in Clymer, the son of the late Joseph and Kathryn (Kish) Rethi.  Also preceded in death by daughter Tina Shiley, brothers Joseph, Robert, Peter, Edward, James, Francis, and Ronald, sisters Dorothy, Gaynelle, Delores, and Kathryn. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. 

Survived by loving wife of 47 years Charlotte (Croyle) Rethi, children Annette, Christine, Curtis, Linda, Chris, and Roni, 9 grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. 

Curtis will be fondly remembered for saying “hey Hon”.  He enjoyed fishing, hunting, shooting pool, and playing cards.  He was a US Army veteran.  His favorites include, singer Tarann, hairstylist Gina, and “son” Rose.   

At Curt’s request there will be no public visitation or services.  Arrangements in care of Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, New Florence.
