Obituary of Fred H Mack
Fred H. Mack, 67, New Florence, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at Good Samaritan Medical Center on October 9, 2023. Born July 31, 1956, in Johnstown the son of the late Harold “Hike” and Bernice “Becie” (Hutchison) Mack. Also preceded in death by son Adam Pozar, and father-in-law Lt. Col. Harry Boring, sister-in-law Donna (Boring) Banko Jobe and her surviving husband Paul Jobe.
Survived by loving wife Kathleen (Boring) Mack. Daughters Melissa Kay Neach and husband Chris, Ashburn, VA Lindsay Lea Rice and husband Ryan, Fairfax, VA; grandsons Dylan and Zachary Neach and granddaughter Rylea Rice. Brother George Mack & wife Diane, New Florence; mother-in-law Elaine Boring, New Florence.; sister-in-law Barb Deyarmin and husband Mike, Clyde; several nieces and nephews, and beloved dog Rocky.
Fred was an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed hiking, canoeing, tinkering in his shed, and spending time with his family. He would always lend a hand to help others. Fred was fan of all sports, especially the Pittsburgh Penguins, Steelers, and NASCAR. Fred was a member of New Florence Methodist Church, and Teamster Local 30. He retired from Highridge Water Authority after 34 years. He enjoyed being part-owner of the West Fairfield Auction Barn with his wife, where they shared many happy times.
Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 pm Saturday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florence where service will be held 1 pm Sunday. Pastor Sharon Hamley officiating. Interment Fairfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to New Florence Methodist Church, POB 267, New Florence, PA 15944.
