Obituary of Dale W. Bracken

Dale Bracken, 83, Vintondale, passed away November 11, 2023, at The Gardens in Indiana.Born February 26, 1940, in Johnstown, the son of the late Charles and Viola (Plowman) Bracken. 

Survived by loving wife of over 60 years Alyce N (Larkin) Bracken.  Also survived by children William Bracken and wife Christine (Hedges), Armagh; Edward Bracken and wife Elizabeth (Blacksmith), Vintondale. Grandchildren Britton Stutzman and husband Kevin, Vintondale; Marial Badzik and husband Matthew, Indiana; Caleb Bracken, San Diego, CA; Michaela Freytag and husband Alec, Baltimore, MD; Gideon Bracken, Vintondale. Great-granddaughter Audrey Stutzman.  Brother Glenn Bracken, Vintondale. 

Dale was a lifelong farmer and loved to spend time on the farm working and with family.  He was a retiree from Bethlehem Steel Corp where he was a foreman of the 11” mill.  Lifelong devoted member of Blacklick Creek Christian Church.

Friends received from 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday at Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St., Armagh and 10 AM until the time of service Wednesday at 11 AM, Wednesday service will be held at Blacklick Creek Christian Church, 1453 Bracken Road, Vintondale, PA 15961. Pastor Thomas Phillips officiating.  Internment Blacklick Church Cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Blacklick Creek Christian Church in Dale’s memory.
