Obituary of Timothy S. Smyers

Tim Smyers, 55, Brush Valley passed away January 30, 2024, at St. Andrews Village.  Born April 28, 1968, in Indiana the son of late Robert Smyers and Barbara Smyers, of Homer City.  In addition to his mother, he is survived by wife Rebecca (Jennings) Smyers, children Julia Paynter and James Paynter, stepchildren Amber (Andrew) Lewis, and Cody (Lon Kanouff) Miller, brother Douglas “Red” Smyers, sister Brenda (Robert) Duffy, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.  In addition to his father, he is preceded by brother Roger Smyers. 

Tim was an avid sports fan and a Tennessee Titan fan.  He enjoyed golfing, dinning out, and word search puzzles.  Tim attended the Blacklick Creek Christian Church.  A 1986 graduate of Homer Center H.S. who previously worked for McCreary Tire and Rubber, WyoTech, and Colonial Motor Mart.

Friends received 3-7 pm Thursday at Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St., Armagh, and 10 am till time of service 11 am Friday at Blacklick Creek Christian Church, 1453 Bracken Road, Vintondale, PA 15961.  Rev. Jon Ditter officiating.  Private Interment Oakland Cemetery.  Memorial Donations in Tim’s name may be made to the Thomas E.
