Traci Deemer

Obituary of Traci Lynee Deemer

Traci Lynee Deemer, 55, of Manassas, Virginia, died at her family home in Clyde, PA, surrounded by her family on July 9, 2024. She fought a ferocious battle with cancer for the past 2 ½ years before finally succumbing to it.

Traci was born in Johnstown, PA on May 29, 1969, to Kenneth Dean Brendlinger and Cynthia Lee (Miller) Penrose and was a self-proclaimed Daddy’s girl – even though she called her mama several times every day “just to talk”. She graduated from United High School in 1988 before working as a CNA and CNA Lead at several locations including Bethlen Home in Ligonier, PA and Birmingham Green in Manassas, VA. Traci was dedicated to her patients and cared for them as she would her own family. She was blessed with many friends that all commented on her great big smile, happy attitude, and those beautiful, bright blue eyes.

Traci was preceded in death by her father Kenneth Brendlinger, stepfather Larry D. Penrose, her grandparents Alonza and Alice Brendlinger of Clyde, PA and Ray and Margaret Chaney of Clyde and her nephew Charles Dean Irwin.

Traci is survived by her mother Cindy Penrose and by her children Tracy Deemer, Jr, & Cjay (Rowland) of Bolivar PA, Jessica (Deemer) Binnall and Joshua Binnall of Homer City PA, and her bonus daughter Brittany Selesky of Alkol, WV. Traci is also survived by her sister Jodee Silva & Wanderson of Martinsburg, WV and her brother Lonnie Brendlinger & Nichole (Fisher) of Chelsea, AL.

Traci was blessed with two loves in her life. She was married to Tracy Deemer for 21 years. They had a long life and had children together. Traci met her second love, James Turner, when they were teenagers. They lost each other, lived separate lives, then reunited 9 years ago.  “Jimmy” took the utmost care of his “Pookie” until the day she gained her wings.

Though she loved her patients and spending time with family, Traci’s favorite role was that as a grandparent. She treasured her time with her eleven grandchildren: Michael, Maria, Kyra, Cooper, Sebastian, Garrett, Kaydance, Brantley, and Wesson along with 2 new babies coming in December 2024. She also has many nieces and nephews who loved her dearly.

Traci will always be remembered for her zest for life, always being happy and the way that she lit up a room with her smile. We couldn’t have asked for a better or more loving daughter, sister, mom, and grandmother and will miss her every day. Traci’s memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved her.

Friends received 2 pm until time of service 6 pm Saturday, at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florene, PA.  Future inurnment Bethel Cemetery.
