Obituary of Wayne Paul Dick

Wayne Paul Dick, 77, of Brush Valley, PA, passed away peacefully at Indiana Regional Medical Center on July 19, 2024. Born on November 17,1946 in New Florence Pa, Wayne was the son of Norman and Gloria (Haire) Dick.  He is survived by His son Terry Dick of Fredericksburg Virginia and his wife Ellen, and children Sean Dick of Raleigh NC and Caitlynn Dick of Fredericksburg VA.  In addition to his parents Wayne was predeceased by his wife Janet Dick and Brother Ken Dick of Johnstown Pa.                                                                                               

Throughout his life, Wayne was a complex man with many facets.  He had moments of kindness and generosity, often going out of his way to help those in need. He had a passion for hunting, Harley Davidson’s, storytelling, and discussing current state of affairs.  As a retired Pennsylvania State Trooper, he had many stories of his career he would discuss with enthusiasm.

Wayne also faced challenges and had his struggles. Life was not always easy for him or those around him, and he made his share of mistakes. Despite these, he taught us the importance of learning from our mistakes and the ability to apologize.

He leaves behind a family and countless friends that will remember his strength, his complexity, and his love. We choose to honor both his good and bad moments, recognizing that they shaped the person he was.
