Obituary of Richard E. Weaverling

Richard E. “Dick” Weaverling, 87, Cramer, passed away peacefully in his sleep February 19, 2025, at home.  Born November 14, 1937, in Johnstown, the son of the late William and Florence (Lohr) Weaverling.  Also preceded in death by sisters Eileen Byers and Phyllis Rhodes, and brother William Weaverling.

Survived by loving wife of over 64 years Mary Weaverling, children Lisa Miller and husband Michael, New Florence; Bill Weaverling and wife Tina, Leesport; Mike Weaverling and wife Marie, West Chester.  Grandchildren Kristy Anderson and husband Ken Penrose, New Florence; Kelly Sorchilla and husband Kevin, Seward; Brittany Weaverling, Reading; Ashley Schlouch and husband Mike, Shillington; Makenzi Yablonsky, Shillington; and twins Madelyn Weaverling and Megan, Weaverling, both West Chester.  Great grandchildren Breea, Kenny, Mogan, Brycen, Maddalena, Cassidy, Jaidyn, and Emmett.

Dick was affectionately known by his family as a computer geek.  He proudly served in the National Guard and had worked as an expediter in the accounting depart at Bethlehem Steel and a night auditor at the Johnstown Holiday Inn. 

At his request there will be no public service or visitation.  Arrangements in the care of Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, Armagh.
