Obituary of Kevin Michael Huczko
Kevin Michael Huczko, 70, of Clyde, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully at home on May 11, 2025, surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous nine-year battle with multiple myeloma.
Born on July 9, 1954, in Johnstown, PA, Kevin was the beloved son of the late Virginia and Mike Huczko. He is survived by his devoted wife of 44 years, Marlene, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and partnership. Together, they raised two daughters, Kristin Esposito (Nicholas Esposito Jr.) of Homer City, PA, and Lori Paouncic (Jacob Paouncic) of Indiana, PA, who were the pride and joy of his life. He was a proud and doting grandfather to Annelise Sophia Esposito, Angelo David Esposito, and Brooks Joseph Paouncic.
Kevin is also survived by his siblings: Kathy Huczko of Maryville, TN; Roger Huczko (JoAnn Huczko) of Murrysville, PA; Michael Huczko (Alex Rodriguez) of Artesia, NM; and Eric Huczko (Troy Evans) of Napa Valley, CA—with whom he shared a lifetime of memories.
He was the founder of KH Controls Inc. in Blairsville, PA—a true engineer, inventor, and entrepreneur. A holder of multiple patents, he was also honored to have served as a member of the S&T Bank Advisory Board. Kevin’s mind never stopped building, dreaming, and improving the world around him. He was a pilot, a problem-solver, and a man whose greatest joy came from helping those he loved.
After retiring, Kevin found renewed purpose in caring for his grandchildren, designing and building his dream garage and workshop, and continuing to create. He cherished good food, especially when lovingly prepared by his wife and daughters—never missing an opportunity to boast about their cooking and how lucky he was to have his own team of five-star chefs. A lifelong fan of Star Wars and Marvel, he was affectionately known as “Iron Dad” by his family.
Kevin lived a life of deep love, quiet strength, and unwavering dedication to his family. He leaves behind a legacy of ingenuity, kindness, and devotion that will live on through the many lives he touched.
A viewing for friends and family will be held at Richard C Stuart Funeral Home in Armagh, PA, 392 East Philadelphia St. on Wednesday, May 14, 2025, from 6:00–8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday at Bethel United Presbyterian Church in Clyde, PA. A private burial for family will immediately follow. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Bernard Regional Catholic School in Kevin’s memory.
