Obituary of William D Luther

Luther, William D., 78, Clyde passed away January 1, 2014 at home peacefully surrounded by his family. Born July 29, 1935 in W. Wheatfield Twp. the son of late John Edgar and Edna (Kough) Luther. Also preceded in death by son Thomas Andrew Luther. Survived by wife of 60 year Donna (Waters) Luther; Survived by children William Luther and wife Rebecca, Maryland; Denise Hood and wife Joseph, Seward; Allen Luther and wife Lynn, Robindale Heights; Marie Rash and husband Timothy, Brush Valley; Marjorie Henry and husband James, Clyde; grandchildren Erin (Luther) Payne, Billie Ann (Luther) Davidson, Joseph P. Hood, George Hood, Alicia (Luther) Tomb, Amiee (Luther) Cameron, Allen Luther, Kayla Rash, Timothy Rash, Paige Henry, Kelsey Henry and Blake Henry; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers Herman Luther, Clyde and Edgar Luther, Richland. Bill was a member of Valley Grace Brethren Church, a retired employee of Bethlehem Steel Corp, Johnstown Plant, an avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed fishing trips to Canada and also enjoyed farming and gardening. He was widely known for his abilities to refurbish items that other’s would have considered broken, he loved to take trash to treasure. His greatest passion was his love for family and the Lord. Friends received 4-9 pm Friday at the Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E Philadelphia St., Armagh where service will be held 11 am Saturday. Rev. Norris B. Mason officiating. Interment Armagh Cemetery.
