Obituary of Thomas W Heming

Heming, Thomas W. "Sonny", 80, passed away peacefully at his home in New Florence on Wednesday June 8, 2011. Born December 24, 1930 in Huff the son of late Thomas B. and Laura (Cramer) Heming. Also preceded in death by brothers Harold "Pickle", Homer and Gary Heming and sister Janet Garland. Survived by devoted wife of 60 years Susan (Magelish) Heming; daughter Deborah Rummel and husband Larry; sons Thomas R. Heming; Donald W. Heming and wife Tammie (Boring), all New Florence; grandchildren Travis Rummel; Amie, T.J., Jeff and Stephanie Heming; brother of Helen Rummel, New Florence; Lila Mae Kiger, Virginia Beach; Violet Berkhamer, New Florence; Roy Heming and wife Peggy, Bolivar; Mary Ellen Brett and husband Jack, North Bend, WA; Carl Heming and wife Dolores, Johnstown; David Heming and wife Barbara, New Florence; Roberta Heming, Robinson; Donna Brossett and husband Les, Fortson, GA; Bobby Heming and wife Bonnie, Dover; sister-in-law Shirley Heming, New Florence; brother-in-law Jim Garland, Robinson; and many nieces and nephews. Tom drove an ice-cream truck for Sani-Dairy for 17 years and later worked for North American Coal Co for 22 years until he retired. He will be remembered as a devoted husband and father to his wife Sue and children. His love of camping and the beautiful red oak porch swings he built in his work shop. Friends received 7-9 PM Friday and 2-4 and 7-9 pm Saturday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florence where service will be held 2 pm Sunday. Interment Bethel Cemetery.
