Obituary of Ida Belle Callis

Callis, Ida Belle, 72, Ligonier, formerly of New Florence went home to be with the Lord March 17, 2016. Born September 18, 1943 in Ridgeview, she was the daughter of the late Frank A. and Virginia "Virgie" (Forsythe) Rolley. She is also joining the love of her life, husband Edward M. Callis. Also preceded in death by brothers Michael, Thomas and Edward Silk, sister Nora Yeager. Ida was a devoted mother to her surviving children James Callis and wife Becky, FL; Tammy Gibson and husband Tom, Ligonier, Shane Callis and fiancé Tabatha Hutzell, New Florence; Jessica Callis and fiancé Travis Lovejoy, Seward. Grandchildren Joshua, Autumn and Brady Gibson; Jenna, Kaylee, David, Shane II, Mylei and Alissa Callis. Great-Grandchildren Kayleigh, Bella and Blayne. Sisters Mary Jayne Boring, VA; Katherine Cosner and husband Dean, MD; Betty Ruth Peters and husband Raymond; Penny Rolley and Neva Gindlesperger, all of New Florence. Brothers Frank Rolley and wife Evelyn, Johnstown; William Rolley, Erie; and numerous nieces and nephews, and special companion Daisy. Ida loved crafts and was always busy making something. She always made sure that everyone had a special homemade gift. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all that assisted them in Ida Belle's final days and help keep her comfortable and so that they were able to keep her at home. At Ida Belle's request there will be no public viewing or memorial service. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the family to assist with final expenses.
