Obituary of Jack Donald Wakefield

Wakefield, Jack Donald, 89, Bolivar, passed away November 19, 2016 at home. Born September 17, 1927 in Robinson, the son of the late Ira C. And Lillian Mildred (Muir) Wakefield. Also, preceded in death by brother Ira Eugene Wakefield. Survived by daughters Ileene Mattis, Johnstown; Janet Wakefield, Debbie Sprout and Pamela Wakefield all of Lancaster; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; sister Alice Marie Peoples, Bolivar. Jack is an Army veteran of WWII. Retired employee of Garfield Refractories, where he was a fireman, and Ryan Homes. Member of Bolivar American Legion Post 128. He enjoyed hunting, gardening and spending time with his family. Friends received 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM Friday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florence where service will be held 11 AM Saturday. Pastor James Sunseri officiating. Interment Fort Palmer Cemetery.
