Obituary of Barbara Penrose

Penrose, Barbara L., 65, Ligonier, passed away August 19, 2017 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born May 2, 1952 in Johnstown, the daughter of the late George and Verna (Stirchek) Vrabel. Also preceded in death by brother Jerry Vrabel. Survived by husband of 37 years Ronald Penrose and sons Ronald Penrose and wife Mandy, Bolivar; Ross Penrose, Ligonier; grandchildren Alyssa, Johnnie, Tanner, Evan, Blake and Ameliah; sister Cindy Harness, Kannapolis, NC; father & mother-in-law Ray and Mary Penrose, Robinson, and Emma, her faithful four legged companion who always rested in front of her. Barbara enjoyed cross stitching, drawing, coloring, gardening, flowers and watching her son's activities. She was the owner of the former Barb's Beauty Shop in Bolivar. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florence, where service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Rev. Robert Washko officiating. Interment Bethel Cemetery.
