Obituary of Samuel L. Boring
Boring, Samuel Lynn “Sam”, 77, New Florence, went to be with the Lord, July 6, 2018 at Memorial Medical Center. Born March 11, 1941 in W. Wheatfield Twp., PA, the son of late James T. and Vinnie J. (Penrose) Boring. Also preceded in death by son Albert Lynn Boring, sister Janet Clawson and two infant brothers and in laws Carl and Marion Blough. Survived by wife of almost 59 Jane (Blough) Boring; children Brain Boring and partner Lee Mignogna, Turtle Creek and Crystal Ellis and husband James, Norwalk, Iowa; grandchildren Christopher Boring and wife Heather, Rachel Boring and Cameron Ellis; daughter-in-law Patricia Boring; sisters and brothers Emma Burkett and husband Len; Dora Henderson and husband Paul; Eugene Boring and wife Romayne; Harry Boring and wife Isabelle, all of New Florence; Joan Payne and husband Boyd, Blairsville; sister-in-law Sara Coughenour and husband Dick, Hampton, VA; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Sam was a life-time member of Germany United Methodist Church where he held numerous leadership positions, a Cub Scout Leader, former W. Wheatfield Twp. Supervisor, long time member of UMWA and an independent contractor who had his own excavating business. Sam’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude to entire staff of Ashman I.C.U. at Memorial Medical Center for their care and support. Friends received 2 - 4 and 6 - 8 PM Monday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florence and 10 am till time of service 11 AM Tuesday at Germany United Methodist Church, 15179 Rt. 259, New Florence with Pastor Paul Funk officiating. Internment Bethel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Germany United Methodist Helping Hands.
