Obituary of Mary Jane Burkett

Burkett, Mary J., 98, Bolivar went home to be with the Lord November 1, 2018 at Bethlen Home.  Born May 16, 1920 in Colver the daughter of the late Nicholas and Madalena (Castelli) Antonio.  Also preceded in death by husband of 72 years Charles Joseph Burkett, Sr.; sisters Louise Nee, Thelma Bender; brothers Patsy Antonio, Ralph Antonio. 


Survived by children Joe Burkett, Jr. and wife Joyce, Dayton, OH; Bill Burkett, Mentor, OH; Pam Worrell, Ligonier.  Grandchildren Trevis Burkett, Springboro, OH; Joseph Burkett, III., Kettering, OH; Melissa Burkett, Avon Lake, OH; Bill Burkett, Jr., Mentor, OH; Bob Worrell, Dayton, OH; Ben Worrell, Pittsburgh; Julia Dawn Lieghty, Ligonier; 5 great-grandchildren;  sister Lena Winger, Pottstown; brothers William Antonio, Seward; Rudy Antonio, Bolivar; and Richard Antonio, Pottstown; and numerous nieces and nephews. 


Mary was a member and Deacon of Robinson Church of the Brethren where she taught Sunday School and was active in numerous other activities. She enjoyed gardening, flowers and crocheting.  Retired Cafeteria Supervisor at Laurel Valley High School. 


Friends received 3 pm till 7pm Friday November 9, 2018 at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier Street, New Florence.  Service will be held 11 AM Saturday November 10, 2018 at Robinson Church of the Brethren, 211 High Street, Robinson.  Pastor Kim Sisitki officiating. Interment Germany Lutheran Cemetery.  Online condolences may be left at
