Obituary of Joseph Mash

Joseph “Pip” Mash, 92, Bluffton, SC formerly of Armagh, PA passed away December 16, 2018 at NHC Healthcare, Bluffton, SC.  Born November 29, 1926 in Dilltown the son of late James and Lucia “Lucy” Mash.  In addition to his parents he is also preceded in death by his wife Virginia “Ginny” (Piasente) Mash and sister Ann (Mash) Matthews.  Survived by his daughter Darlene (Mash) Graham and her husband John Barry Graham, and their pets, of Bluffton, SC, who will miss him greatly, and sister Lucy “Bunda” (Mash) Allison, Dilltown, and numerous relatives.

Pip was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Seward; UMWA, VFW, and Teamsters.   He was a US Army veteran and former employee of Bethlehem Mines, Matthews Milk Hauling and Von’s United Beverage.   Pip loved sports, especially baseball, with this favorite teams being the Pittsburgh Pirates and the New York Yankees.  He took extreme pride in his cars, from his first car to his last, always looking brand new. He always had time for everyone, especially those who enjoyed his stories and quick wit.  Pip never met a stranger and loved making people laugh. And to make him smile, all you needed to do was talk to him about his grand-dogs, especially Maggie Jo, Missy, and Dixie. He has been making friends since 1926.

 A memorial service/celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.  Future interment Armagh Cemetery. “Go now in peace, faithful friend of God.” Local arrangements in care of Richard C.
