I turned 9 years old in 1987 at Grandma Hudnall's house in Armagh. She bought me a Nintendo. I didn't get to play it much because Uncle Hugh and Dad played Duck Hunt the majority the time. As the days turned into the evenings’ you could count on Uncle Hugh providing the entertainment, mostly as he harassed Lois and Grandma. But really anyone. Red Man, Miller Lite or Schlitz, Duck Hunt & fun conversations into the evening are my memories of that summer being around Uncle Hugh.

Hugh will be sadly missed by many. I have fond memories of our years at the Tribune. He was kind, supportive, encouraging, and always fun to be around all while being a great leader. He had a way of bringing the best out in all of us and making us smile just because life was good. My sincere condolences to Hugh's wife Barbara, family and friends. May he continue his party looking down on us from above.
