Obituary of William Charles Walsh, Sr.

William “Bill” Charles Walsh, Sr., 78, Robinson. He was born July 3, 1941, son of William J. Walsh and Carrie M. Walsh passed away to be with the Lord on May 8, 2020. Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Survived by his wife Brenda (Hewitt), of 59 years. Children William Charles Walsh, Jr. and Beth, Warren Chad Walsh and Kristina, Lisa Dawn Walsh Kadlubek and Brian. Grandchildren Megan Walsh, Alyssa Walsh, Wendi Walsh, Jake Walsh, Sarah Kadlubek, Brady Kadlubek, and Anna Kadlubek. Brother James Walsh (Peg) and sister Beverly Berezansky (Paul), and many nieces and nephews. Bill was a member of the Robinson Church of the Brethren, American Legion, VFW, Elks, and was a 32nd Degree Mason. Bill was a Pennsylvania coal miner for 34 years, retiring in 1999. Bill enjoyed reminiscing of this track career, being a two-time state track champion and still holding the United High School track record to this day. Bill enjoyed trains, birds, walking his dog, Benny, and he especially loved his grandkids. He was their biggest fan, cheering each of them on in their various sporting events. Bill was a gentle soul and will be deeply missed by his family. In memory of Bill, please don’t forget to beep and wave when passing by – that always brought a smile to his face! A private funeral service will be held due to the restrictions of Covid-19. A memorial celebration will be held at a later date.
