Obituary of Robert D. Botteicher

Robert D. Botteicher, 94, Seward passed away November 4, 2021 at home surrounded by his family.  Born June 6, 1927 in South Fork the son of late Edward and Gustie (Fyock) Botteicher.  Also preceded in death by wife of 73 years Roberta "Bertie" (Donahue) Botteicher, grandsons Adam and Matthew Botteicher, brothers Ralph and Harold “Joe” Botteicher, and sons-in- law Paul Leary, Paul Hendrickson and Jack “Mick” Werzbicke.

Survived by children Rhonda Hendrickson, Dennis Botteicher and wife Donna, Regina Werzbicke, Jeffrey Botteicher and wife Kim, Brian Botteicher and wife Lisa, Greg Botteicher and wife Janis, 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandson, Brother Meade Botteicher and wife Claudette and sister Mildred “Sis” Myers and husband Ken.

Robert was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Seward. Knights of Columbus council #11381 and 4# degree All Saints Assembly #954. He was an Army Veteran of WWII serving in Korea. Bob retired from Penelec, Seward Generating Station. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, and sharing stories about his military service.

Friends received 4-8 pm Sunday at Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St, Armagh and 10 am till time of Mass of Christian Burial 11 am Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church, 425 Bridge Street, Seward. Rev. Fr. Stephen R. Bugay celebrant. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery. The family would like to their parents’ care givers, especially Tammy Lentz and VNA/Hospice nurses and staff.
