Obituary of Kenneth Guy Geary

Kenneth Guy Geary, 91, New Florence, passed away June 1, 2023, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born July 17, 1931, in Wilkinsburg, the son of the late Herman Kenneth and Mary E. (Loughner) Geary.  He was also preceded in death by loving wife of 54 years, Ella M. (McAdams) Geary. As a young man, he served in the U.S. Marine Corp. during the Korean Conflict. When he returned home, he met and married the love of his life, Ellie. Guy will forever be remembered for his warm smile, gentle nature, and sense of humor. He was a true family man who dearly loved his children, grandchildren, and extended family.  Guy is survived by his three children and their spouses, Debra L. and Randy, Florida; William C. and Amy, Connecticut, and Kenneth M. and Phyllis, Westmont; nine grandchildren, Zac and his wife Terra, Bryant, Jesse and his wife Alyssa, Shane and his wife Deanna, Christopher, Audra, Lee, Tyler, and Morgan; two great-grandchildren, Violet and Evalyn; sister, Doris Horner and her husband Bill; his dear friend, Audrey Parry; and many nieces and nephews.  Although our hearts are broken, we are comforted knowing Guy is at peace and finally reunited with his beloved Ellie.

A memorial service will be held Friday, June 9, 2023, at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier Street, New Florence, with a viewing from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. with the service to immediately follow and burial at Bethel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made in Guy’s name to a charity of one’s choice.
