Obituary of Robert Edwin James
Robert Edwin James, 90, Bolivar, passed away April 15, 2024, at Indiana Regional Medical Center. Born June 9, 1933, in Bolivar the son of the late William McKinnley and Goldie P. (Wambaugh) James. Also preceded in death by brothers Harold, William, and Ronald “Ike” James; sisters Hazel Bernabo Shomo, Betty Sisitki, Ethel Frampton, and infant sister Catherine James.
Survived by loving wife of 65 years, Mary Jane (Yeager) James. Children Robert James, Jr., Ligonier; Debra Hernandez, Montana; Tammy Shultz and husband Todd, Bolivar; Donald James and wife Megan, Greensburg. Grandchildren Carlos Hernandezand wife Colbee Biss Hernandez, David Hernandez, Elena Brousard and husband Tyler, Selina Dean and husband Ryan, Braden Shultz and fiancé Paige Bender, Lucas James; great-grandchildren Chloe, Antonio, and Kennedy Hernandez; sister Donna Gibson.
Bob was a U.S. Army Veteran having served during the Korean War, a member of the Church of Christ and retired employee of Dietrich Industries. He enjoyed spending time gardening, hunting, and drinking coffee, especially from McDonald’s. He loved his family and time spent with them was something he cherished deeply. He cherished the time with his grandchildren. Bob was loved by everyone.
Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 pm Wednesday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, New Florence, where service will be held 11 am Thursday. Ray Lee officiating. Interment Germany Lutheran Cemetery.
