Obituary of "Wayne" Shank

Ralph Wayne Shank, 79, Blairsville passed away July 31, 2024, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center.  Born May 29, 1945, the son of late Melvin and Sara (Brett) Shank.  Also preceded in death by wife Phyllis (Chero) Shank, sister Sara Kells, brothers George, James, and Roger Shank.

Survived by children Paul Shank and wife Penny, Rosamond, CA; Paula Kwiek and husband Noah, Colonial Heights, VA.  Grandchildren Connor Shank, Hensley, Ava, and Bella Kwiek.  Companion Norma Blake, New Florence.  Also, several nieces and nephews.

Wayne was a retired employee of North American Coal Company, and a graduate of Penn State University.  He enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing, and watching the Pittsburgh Pirates and Penn State football.

Friends received 5-8 pm Friday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florence.  Private interment Blairsville Cemetery.
