Obituary of Warren D. Cable

Warren D. Cable, 79, New Florence died March 14, 2012 at Select Specialty Hospital, Johnstown. Born July 11, 1932 in W. Wheatfield Twp. the son of late Merle J. and Ima Jean (Brendlinger) Cable. Also preceded in death by wife Nancy (Boring); brothers Robert and Earl "Peck" Cable, infant brother Jackie and infant sister Jennie. Survived by daughter Joyce Silk and husband Neil; grandchildren Jessica Silk and Jason Palmer, Graham Silk and Angela Silk; special great-grandson Jacob, all of Fairfield Twp; brother of Gloria Jean Short, New Florence; Barry Cable, Ligonier; Sue Penrose, New Florence; sister-in-law Leona Boring, New Florence. US Army Veteran. Retired employee of Bethlehem Steel Corp, Johnstown Plant. He was an avid Hunter who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandson. Friends received 2-4 and 7-9 pm Friday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St, New Florence where services will be held 11 am Saturday. Interment Germany Lutheran Cemetery. Military rite by local veterans organization.
