Obituary of Gertrude E. Beard

Gertrude E. Beard, 66, Shady Grove died July 20, 2012 at UPMC Presbyterian, Pittsburgh. Born July 4, 1946 in Marquette, MI the daughter of the late Clifford and Holly (Hogan) Lewis. Survived by husband Jerry Beard; children Heather Beard, Shady Grove; Clifford Beard, Marquette, MI; Scott Beard, Shady Grove; grandchildren Brandon Beard, Gettysburg; Katie Martins, Marquette, MI; Michael, Nicholas, and Elizabeth Beard all of New Florence; 7 great-grandchildren and one on the way; special friends Jaynelle and Hellen.; several special cousins and friends and precious poodle Daisy Mae. Preceded in death by parents and grandparents William and Gertrude Hogan and Eugene and Ida Lewis. Member of O.E.S Chapter 403, and Daughters of the Nile, both Marquette, MI. Friends received Monday from 5 to 8PM at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St. New Florence where service will be held at 8PM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Office of Donor Development, Shriners Hospitals for Children, International Headquarters, 2900 Rocky Point Dr.; Tampa, FL 33607. Tentatively, service in Marguette, MI to be held on Saturday, July 28, 2012.
