Obituary of Alfred M. Gallaher
Rev. Alfred M. "Webb" Gallaher, 75, Brush Valley went home to be with Lord Wednesday August 15, 2012 at Indiana Regional Medical Center. Born November 29, 1936 in Johnstown the son of Sylvester O. and Mary Margaret (Noblespears) Gallaher. Webb was the former pastor of Pentecostal Tabernacle Church of Armagh. Member of Alverda Faith Tabernacle. Vice President of Indiana and Cambria County Hymn Sings. Retired employee of Bethlehem Steel Corp, Johnstown Plant. Webb's life consisted of playing guitars and numerous other instruments and singing with family and friends; spreading the Gospel to all who he meet and touched; enjoying spending time with his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and everyday life on the farm. Survived by children Lucinda M. "Cindy" Gallaher and David Bish, Greensburg; Alfred M. Gallaher Jr., married to former Patricia Yeager, Brush Valley; Connie L and husband William Copenhaver, New Bethlehem; Jeannette D. and husband Earl Adams, Penn Run; John S. Gallaher, Brush Valley; and Scott A. Gallaher, Homer City; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; sister Rose Lape, Johnstown; brother Samuel Gallaher and wife Kathie, East Conemaugh; daughter-in-law Brenda (Smith) Gallaher, Brush Valley; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Mary Marie (Overman) Gallaher; brother Carl Teeter and Wash Gallaher. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at the Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St., Armagh, where a funeral service will be held 11 a.m. on Monday with Pastors Robert Bartlebaugh and Paul Price to officiate. Interment will be in the Brush Valley Cemetery.
