Obituary of Arbutus Tantlinger
Arbutus (Donahue) Tantlinger, 85, formerly of Armagh, passed away March 16, 2019 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born August 20, 1933 in Nolo the daughter of the late Edward L. Donahue and Margaretta S. (Boring) Donahue Krouse. Also preceded in death by husband William R. Tantlinger, Sr. Son William R. Tantlinger, Jr.
Survived by daughter Dawn Leary and husband John, Johnstown; granddaughters Brittany Wisor and husband Chris, Blairsville; and Crystal McGinnis, New Florence; great-granddaughter Christina Maria Wisor, and one great-grandchild on the way, and favorite dog Lily.
Arbutus was a long time vounteer at the local food bank and various other local charities, and served a 12 year term on the board at ICCAP. She also was a teacher for Vacation Bible School. “Through the depths of sorrow comes understanding love, and peace and truth and comfort are sent from God above” Helen Steiner Rice.
