Verla Mae was an amazing, sweet, generous woman. She was a true friend to my mother Josephine Lauffer. Together they would shop and in the evenings they would have tea and watch Jeopardy. The world was a better place with her in it.

I grew up across the street from Verla & Banks - but my favorite memory of Verla is from just a few years ago when I was working at Mack’s Diner and every morning seeing Verla and Marilyn come thru those doors for breakfast - Bacon egg & cheese on a English muffin w/ a cup of hot tea. Verla was always asking about what was going on with mom when she was first diagnosed with cancer. She was the sweetest - I really missed seeing her daily after I left the diner. She will be sadly missed - rest easy sweet angel

I met her almost forty yrs ago and she has always had that beautiful smile and loved her tea in the morning ..I met her when I cleaned the office at weights.motor lines when she was secretary.....

Aunt Verla Mae was a wonderfully sweet woman. She always had a smile. I always looked forward to seeing her when she would come to our house to pick up Donnie after school. Great memories! Rest in Peace!
