Obituary of Orpha Jane Pozar

Pozar, Orpha Jane “Honey”, 90, Seward died June 2, 2013 at The Villa Personal Care, Johnstown. Born September 14, 1922 in Huff the daughter of late John Wayne and Alice (Barlett) Prettyman. Also preceded in death by husband John Pozar, granddaughter Tiffany, sisters Eva Ruth Boring, Mina Mae Boring, Mary Ellen Price, Margaret Florence DeWeese, Goldie Cramer and brother Robert Prettyman. Survived by sons Matthew and wife Sue (Nelson), Grantville; Paul and wife Maryanne (Swarney); and John and wife Elaine (Steffey), both of Seward; grandchildren Ryan Pozar serving in the US Army in Hawaii, Amy Shellhammer, Indiana, PA, Megan Erway, Mechanicsburg, Adam Pozar, New Florence, Jason Pozar, Sanatoga, Terri Rummel, New Florence;14 great-grandchildren. Member of O.E.S., Fort Ligonier Chapter #349 who will hold a service 7 pm Tuesday at the funeral home and White Shrine, attended Robindale Union Church. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Villa Place and Grane Hospice for the supportive care and compassion shown to Mrs. Pozar. Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 pm Tuesday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St, New Florence where service will be held 11 am Wednesday, Rev. Norman C. Kaufman officiating. Interment Armagh Cemetery.
