Obituary of Rose Ann Huegel
Rose Ann (Arford) Huegel, 77, Johnstown passed away July 11, 2021 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born September 1, 1943 in Altoona, the youngest daughter of the late Russell and Cora (Donahue) Arford. Survived by daughter Marsann “Marcey” (Huegel) Page, Savannah, GA; granddaughters Amber Page, Dayton, OH; and Brandi Owens, West Paris, ME; special niece and caregiver Kenna Raymond, Johnstown along with the Heming nieces in Bedford and many others. She is survived by one sister in-law, Ramona Arford.
In addition to her parents and siblings, she is preceded in death by daughter Betty Louise (Huegel) Pierce, son Francis “Skipper” Huegel, brothers Russell, Alvin, and Ron Arford, sisters Emma “Sissy” Kaufman and Margie Heming.
Rose Ann was a proud Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, a 1962 graduate of United H.S. She worked for L.L. Bean and small companies thru the years.
She was an entrepreneur, starting the Bowdoinham Chuck Wagon (food truck) serving people at ice fishing camps and local auctions.
She loved to read, fish, shoot, crochet, paint ceramics and paint. She loved her dogs, maybe especially her pug.
She was spunky, feisty, and strong willed. She loved watching baseball-any sport really. She told you what she thought, without holding back. She was crafty in both ways. She loved “getting around” what you asked her not to do. She would say, “you didn’t say exactly that”. She had a great laugh and a great sense of humor.
