Obituary of Larry E. Lloyd

Larry E. Lloyd, 79, Johnstown, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on July 20, 2022.  Born April 30, 1943, in Johnstown, the son of late Thomas E. and Helen L. (Mack) Lloyd.  Also preceded in death by brother Vaugh T. Lloyd.

Survived by loving wife of 43 years Carla J. (Blanda) Lloyd; children Todd Lloyd and wife Stella, Kelly Lloyd, Travis Lloyd, Rina Miller, Neil Lloyd, Jenna Lloyd, and Kayla Lloyd; grandchildren Claudia, Blake, Max, Jacob, Gage, Keiley, and Leland; great-grandson Leo; sister Elaine Bilger; and his faithful companion Wiener Schnitzel.

Larry was a member of Johnstown Grace Brethren Church where he served as a trustee, member of Laborers Local Union 910.  He served in the Navy on the USS Little Rock and could be frequently found at Franco’s.  Larry was known for his may sayings, with his favorite being “You can’t soar with eagles when you’re surrounded by turkey’s”. 

Larry’s family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of Windber Hospice and his church family from Grace Brethren Church for all the care, supports and prayers Larry and family received.
