Obituary of Dwight Robert Hollingsworth

Hollingsworth, Dwight Robert commonly known as “Doc”, 62, Johnstown died July 26, 2013 at home. Born April 19, 1951 in Indiana, PA. The son of late Gordon and Betty (Campbell) Hollingsworth. Also preceded in death by sister Gloria Kay Willinger. Survived by loving daughter Lisa Kay Sarver formerly of Johnstown and Garry Sarver and family. Brothers Gordon and wife Linda (Rowland), Myrtle Beach, SC; Alan and wife Vicki (Young), Seward. Brother-in-law Mike Willinger, Seward. Nieces and nephews Dawn Ryan, Shannon Ryan, Lyndee Van, Heidi Hollingsworth and Ross Hollingsworth and their families. Several aunts, uncles and cousins. Special friend Donna Marie Ferrier. Former wife and lifelong friend Michelle Price. Doc had special relationships with many friends and family members. He especially cherished his relationship with his little sister “Kay Kay”. Doc was a kind hearted selfless person who would generously help anyone in need. He lived and worked as a sheet metal worker in San Diego, Ca for over 35 years and had just recently returned to the Johnstown area to be closer to his family. Doc enjoyed fishing and boating, avid NASCAR and Steelers fan and enjoyed the challenge of the 7 o’clock Jeopardy show. Doc was a free spirit who attended Woodstock and continued to enjoy the music of that era. At Doc’s request there will be no viewing. Friends and family are all invited to a gravesite memorial service 4 PM Wednesday, Inurnment Armagh Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, Armagh.
