Obituary of Samuel G. Yeager

Samuel G. Yeager, 91, New Florence passed away January 20, 2023, at home.  Born January 30, 1931, in Bolivar the son of late Jacob and Jane (Shank) Yeager.  Also preceded in death by brothers Edward, George, Charles, Thomas, John, and Leonard Yeager, sisters Bessie Yeager, Elizabeth Deemer and Nell Saunders; Sons Randy and Robin Kay. 

Survived by wife of 70 years Gladys (Muir) Yeager and children Karen Boring (Donald), Peggy Miller (Mike); Grandchildren Heather Hanson (Chris) , Michael Boring (Erin), Richard Yeager (Ellen) and Christopher Miller; Great Grandchildren Conner Hanson, Alec Hanson (Morgan), Brayden Miller , Carter Wirick, Sam Yeager, Seth, Wyatt, Mady, Ryan, Easton and Blake Boring; Great- Great Grandchildren Sibyl, Macey and Berkley Hanson and sister Dorothy Biss and Sister-in-law Ruth Yeager and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Sam was a Korean War Army Veteran and worked as a molder at Allegheny Foundry. Sam enjoyed mowing grass and weed-eating his lawn. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed wood working many projects.  He also enjoyed working on the family farm and loved spending time with his family and friends.  He faithfully read his bible daily. 

A memorial service will be held on Saturday January 28, 2023 at 11 am at the First Church of Christ in Bolivar, Pa Interment to follow at  Westview Cemetery.
