Obituary of Raymond L Erwin

Erwin, Raymond L., Sr., 67, Armagh, passed away September 21, 2013 at Indiana Regional Medical Center, Born April 27, 1946 in Stahlstown the son of late Bert S. and Elsie M. (Roadman) Erwin. Survived by wife of 46 years Esther (Brown) Erwin; children Essie Phares and husband Chris, Mount Union; Raymond L. Erwin Jr. and Gregory B. Erwin, both Armagh; Brian M. Erwin and wife Ashley, Seward; grandchildren Travis Adam Erwin, Brady Evan Erwin, Austin Michael Phares, Weston Loye Phares and Breanna Rose Phares; bother John T. Erwin Stahlstown; sisters Minnie A. Clark and husband Earl, Ligonier; Laura Monticue, Pataskala, OH; Marion J. Erwin and Bonnie L. Erwin both of Stahlstown. In addition to his parents Ray is also preceded in death by brothers Clair J. and Charles W. Eriwn. Ray was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother who was an accomplished carpenter, mechanic and landscaper who enjoyed wood working and jig saw puzzles. Member of Blairsville Wesleyan Methodist Church, US Navy Veteran of Vietnam War and retired electrician and mechanic from Florence and R&P mines. Friends received 2-4 & 7-9 pm Monday at Richard C. Stuart Funeral Home, 392 E. Philadelphia St, Armagh where service will be held 2 pm Tuesday. Pastor Burton Adiska and Pastor Roger Whippo co-officiating. Military rite by local veterans organization. Interment Armagh Cemetery.
