Obituary of William Charles Felton

William “Bill” Charles Felton, 80, New Florence, passed away at home on October 10, 2023, born June 13, 1943, in Seward, the son of the late Sylvester William Joseph and Elda Irene (Irwin) Felton.  Also preceded in death by brothers Daryl, James, Robert and Paul Felton, MIA while serving in the U.S. Army, and sister Elaine Lucas.

 

Survived by loving wife of 58 years, Delores (Nesbit) Felton, children Carlene Nicholson and husband Gerald, Seward; William Felton, Blairsville; and Scott Felton, Indiana; grandchildren Ashley Novosat and husband Pete, Daniel Nicholson and wife Haley, Jordan Pletcher and friend Liz, all of Johnstown; great-grandchildren Hannah, and Harper Nicholson, and Jax Fry-Pletcher; sister Jean Marsh, Seward.

 

Bill was a retired from Laborer’s’ Union Local 910, Johnstown and a US Army Veteran.  He was a Jack of all trades, who enjoyed working on cars, although he wouldn’t admit so. Bill was a man of true grit with a big heart.  He enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  Bill could often be seen with his son Bill.

 

Friends received 2-4 and 6-8 pm Thursday at Kenneth A. Stuart Funeral Home, 139 Ligonier St., New Florence where service will be held 11 am Friday.  Pastor Joseph Walls.  Interment Armagh Cemetery.
